this story is about whether or not mattyb's friends are real. after being abandoned by his "friends", Matty has to figure out whether he still trusts his friends loyalty.
the only real friend Matty has left is Heather, and Matty has fallen in love with her. struggling to keep his emotions under control and hidden from certain people, Matty finds it hard to show affection towards Heather, and forgiveness to his friends who have used him for personal gain.
in this story, Matty figures out what " friends with benefits" means.
