The story shown below is of Thorin and his wife, Katara. They have been king and queen of Erebor for 20 years now. This is of them getting in a fight when Katara try's to bring up the subject of his mother who died of child birth with Dis when Thorin was 14. Thorin was very close to his mother, so her death was very hard on him. Enjoy!

But in the battle your husband's life was taken by azog. It wasn't easy for you, especially raising one baby son and one on the way. but Thorin was there to help you. After your husband's death you knew you'd never fall in love again until a certain Hobbit came into your life. (The first movie will sadly not be the extended version, but the others are the extended version.)
After the Fire
Following the Battle of the Five Armies, a grievously wounded Thorin is brought back to the kingdom of Erebor, which is still mostly in ruins. Although he's survived the wounds he received at the end of Azog's blade, his recovery is far from complete. When she's asked to help the dwarves tend to their wounded, medical student Jasna Stoneham reluctantly agrees. Not only is she only just barely a qualified to even set foot in the infirmary, but she stutters when she gets nervous and nervous does not even begin to describe how she's feeling. To make matters worse, no one thought to warn her that she would be caring for the king himself, Thorin Oakenshield. Unfortunately, the road to recovery isn't necessarily a smooth one, but if there's one thing Thorin will learn, it's that what Jasna lacks in experience and training, she makes up for in stubbornness, giving him a run for his money. And for every backwards step he takes, she is there to push him three steps forward. And Jasna will soon find out that there is a gentle, softer side to the dwarf king, one that very few people have ever seen and one he fights to keep hidden from her as well. But like his recovery, that is also easier said than done.Complete

PREQUEL TO HOBBIT Richard Armitage: About Thorin [I would ask Tolkien] "Was there ever a lost love?" Because he seems to be someone who is so without that kind of personal love. And I sort of did create that for myself in the biography; that maybe there was somebody - a princess or someone - in Erebor that got lost when the dragon came. Because he doesn't really have that romantic relationship in his life. Fanfic about what happend before the dragon took over Erebor. A love story between a young dwarf prince of Erebor and a dwarf princess of Ered Mithrin. THIS STORY is absolutely fictional. It is based upon Tolkien and Peter Jackson, but it is my free interpretation of what might have happend in Thorin's life. I just wanted to give myself and you guys a proper love story (and some smut) about our loveliest majestic dwarf king. I do not own The Hobbit, all names and places from the book or movies belong to J.R.R.Tolkien or Peter Jackson. Also, sorry for any grammar mistakes, I am not a native speaker, but I do try my best.
