After reading this book I was speechless. I found myself in complete awe, not because Michael Jackson is the world's most talented writer but because he is so raw, genuine, and his words are filled with innocence and sincerity. This book is delightful to read - a must read for Michael Jackson fans. Unfortunately, due to his recent tragic death, it's hard to find at a reasonable, affordable price anymore. I'm sure you can get your hands on it somehow though at a library. As I read this, I could almost hear Michael Jackson saying the things he writes in my head. The pages also contain artwork and some absolutely beautiful pictures of Michael. His short essays, even more than his poems, are a pleasure to read because they really present Michael as a human being who is so curious and simple. He wonders about things like the stars and makes keen observations about things that most people would find too insignificant to notice - like how elephants always have to stand, even when they're sleeping. He thought that the things most people would disregard were worth thinking about. He thought about everything! This simplicity allows the reader to connect with him. This book reminds me of his song, Human Nature because the reader really get's a glimpse into Michael's human nature in this book. He asks why. He writes a lot about children as well which really captures the purity and innocence in how he connects with children. After reading this book, I was left with only one thought (aside from how insanely gorgeous this man was): what couldn't Michael Jackson do? He could write, dance, sing, compose music, act...He encompassed all the forms of art and in everything he did, he made sure he was the best at it. This book is a small glimpse into the beautiful mind of Michael Jackson. Disclaimer: Poems are actually coming from the book, DANCING THE DREAM. This is NOT my work, just sharing the poems/thoughts MJ writes.

So, here we are, all of us, lost in this mystical realm with zero memory of where we came from. It's like we all took the world's worst vacation, and now nobody can find their way back home. And guess what we have to guide us? A poem. Because why bother with maps or instructions when you can have cryptic, poetic nonsense? It's almost like Serenus wants us to play a twisted game of "figure it out before you die." Now, the world itself is a total trip. It's a magical land where anything is possible, except, apparently, for things making sense. But don't let the pretty flowers and magical buffets fool you-something's not quite right in this enchanted Eden. You've got all these resources lying around just begging to be used for peace, justice, and all those other warm, fuzzy ideals. It's like someone set up the perfect civilization starter kit, but forgot to mention that some of these folks are dead set on turning this dreamland into their own personal dystopia. And with their magical abilities, they're like toddlers wielding chainsaws-adorably dangerous, but mostly just dangerous. Meanwhile, me and my merry band of misfit friends are stuck trying to save this world from self-destruction. Because apparently, we're the only ones who read the brochure about this place being a "civilized society based on values." And while we're at it, I'm also on a little side quest to answer the age-old question: Who am I? It's not like I have bigger things to worry about, like, I don't know, preventing magical Armageddon or anything. With a charming mix of wit, sarcasm, and a healthy dose of "what-the-heck-is-going-on," the story of Serenus follows our nameless protagonist as they unravel the mysteries of this strange land, all while trying to avoid becoming dino-chow or the latest victim of a magical mishap. It's a tale of self-discovery, magical frisking, and just trying to survive another day in this oh-so-serene-and completely crazy-world.
