After losing his sight to a young basilisk as a child, Prince Aster of the Elves wonders how he can rule a kingdom or a people he cannot see. But there's more afoot than his upcoming rise to the throne, a conspiracy against the royal family. Deep in the Appalachian mountains, Freya Mills is going through the motions. She knows the dos and don'ts of the hill, its own rules, and how to avoid the unexplainable. However, then again, none of those stories really explain what to do when a literal elf happens to cross her path. (Something I'm working on Off and On as a companion story for my main story Guardians and Keepers of Myth)
