It was a normal nation meeting. They held one annually at least 3 times a year. However, this meeting ended up turning the world on their heads. Their parents, the ancients, who have long since passed on cannot stand to watch their children suffer. With this a plan is formed to help, even if only just a little. A messenger from the ancients arrive with a book and wishes of happiness for the nations. They're stuck with no way out, in a space where time is separated from reality. They only have one way to leave, and that is to read. Through this book the true personality of the nations shine through. Gideon Saint is dying for something exciting to happen in his life. With his love of history, he figures an internship at the museum has to be a good start, right? Anything is better than listening to his parents argue or sitting alone in his room doing research no one but him seems to care about. A chance encounter with a magical ring leaves him transported to an alternate version of ancient Wales, or as it was sometimes called, Cambria. 1432 Wales, to be exact. Here magic is the most powerful weapon of all as kings vie for power. Good thing Gideon's teleportation from the present has also left him with the ability to use magic, and he's quickly regarded as a powerful wizard. In this timeline, Wales maintained it's independence, but that's about to change. Henry V is on the throne of the England, and the greatest warrior king England has ever had has set his sights on Wales. Can Gideon help save his newfound friends and master his new powers, while living a double life in the 21st century? Ahem, living people die, dying people live, Henry V is here and he's awesome despite being the main antagonist, everybody is vaguely gay, swords are described in loving detail, people are not, lovely platonic friendships, did we mention swords? Yes, you may learn something about history, but that's a risk you'll have to take. Basically, think of this as a Percy Jackson type of adventure, but it's historical fiction instead of Greek gods. The narrator is 15 and the major supporting characters are 14, 17, and 19. That said, there's nothing in the way of content that's inappropriate for a younger reader. As always if you're not here to go on a fun little adventure find a different story. Trigger/Content: very mild language, some magic violence, fantasy violence. Self-harm is briefly discussed. Adoption issues are discussed as well as brief scenes of a abusive family. Characters briefly mention crushes and or dating, no real innuendos.Concluída
