"She goes out a lot. Although I never know when she's at home anyway, she rarely comes out of her room, and the door is always locked. Dad threatens to remove the lock nearly every week, but I know he never will." A short story (or long poem depending on how you interpret it) from the perspective of a young girl as she tries to uncover the mysteries of her older sister, Charlene. As a confident and inquisitive child, she wishes for a closer relationship with her sister, but this closed book is proving harder to open than once thought. (This will be on hold for a while as I'm just struggling to think of ideas at the minute, I will hopefully return to it soon though)

Short poems exploring the pain of losing someone without truly losing them, but losing yourself instead. A quiet grief for the past version that will never return, and the fragile hope of becoming something new, until sorrow slowly turns into joy. 📌 Pinterest board: https://pin.it/397dQqEff
