What word could describe the connection you had with him?

Friends? Your relationship wasn't one that shared a bond of mutual affection.

Enemies? Not once did the feeling of hatred consume you two to try and harm each other.

Lovers? You've had enough messed up romance for a lifetime in your opinion.

The truth was...none of these terms could work because each of them needed a familiar feeling to make sense.

He protected you in your moment of vulnerability, so in return you decided to look out for him in case the tables would turn. He might have been clueless to this, but it was the only way to pay off the debt you owed him. Though that didn't change the fact that you still didn't really know him at all.

So then the question repeats itself: What was a word that could possibly describe the connection you had with him?

Strangers; A person whom one does not know or with whom one is not familiar.

He doesn't know anything about you other than your name and the fact that he found you in the woods.... Yet for some strange reason he still trusted you.

You didn't know anything about him other than his name and the fact that he went to Nevermore Academy.... Yet for some strange reason you still trusted him.

There was no other word to use and you knew it. That word was the closest you'd ever get to a description.

This story is marked as mature for future chapters. I have no idea where this will go but it was probably best to mark it as mature now before anything happens.

If you happen to see this emoji (🎵) in any chapter, that means that the phrase or sentence reminded me of a song! See if you can guess it!

Two broken souls in the midst of a crazy world. Two souls running away from their past. There was no light at the end of the tunnel. The tunnel was cracking, slowly closing in. When these two connect, as if they were set on the same path, light creeps in through the cracks, and for or a moment, the tunnel seems to have a way out, but what if it collapses before they make it? - "You saved my life." The words come out as a whisper, I've been dying to say that. I thank god every day that he came into my life when he did. "Fuck Vivian, you don't know how much I needed you." I tear up just a little as he speaks, I don't know the last time I cried happy tears. I bring my hands up to cup his cheeks, resting my forehead against his. "No matter how much I push, I don't mean it. Please don't give up on me." My words seem to relieve him in some way as I feel his shoulders relax. "Even when I'm gone, I'll be by your side, forever." He brings his hand, sticking his pinky out. "pinky promise."I wrap mine around his, placing a kiss on his lips. Warning before you read!! This is my first book! This book will contain topics of SA, eating disorders, and mature content, if any of these things may bother you in anyway, please scroll! I hope when I finish this book I can public a clean version, with a different perspective leaving out these topics, but for now, this is how i've envisioned this story to go! Enjoy -Ash🌸

The Devil's Crybaby by Alywinter
69 parts Ongoing Mature
A man stormed in with a gun. She was shot. She lived, but the part of her that trusted life didn't. After that, she became careful. She avoided crowds. Sudden movements made her freeze. She spent more time alone because it felt easier than being around people who didn't understand what had happened to her. Life became smaller, but it felt safer that way. Then one night, someone came for her. He took her from her bed without explaining who he was. He kept her moving, kept her close, and kept his distance at the same time. A man who lived by rules she didn't understand and fear she couldn't escape. Everything about him screamed danger, yet he never touched her without reason. Never spoke more than necessary. He lived for one person only. Everything he did was for his brother. His brother had lost an eye years ago because of him, and he treated that loss like something he could never make right. He followed his brother's orders without thinking about the consequences. When his brother wanted something, he made it happen. Eliza asked questions. Tried to understand what she had been pulled into. The man who kidnapped her protected her but never from the truth. In the silence he left behind, she started filling in the gaps herself. She told herself he wouldn't protect her if she didn't matter. She told herself that the way he stayed close meant something. When she finally learns the reason she was taken, it doesn't come gently. It strips away everything she believed and leaves her facing the fact that she was never chosen. She was a promise. A problem someone else decided to solve. Two brothers want different things from her. One wants to own her. One never planned to keep her. Around them is a world where violence is normal, where people disappear without anyone asking questions, and where some men hunt for reasons that have nothing to do with survival. This is not a story about being saved.

All right, let's do this one last time. My name is (Y/n) (L/n). I was bitten by a radioactive spider and for the last seven years, I thought I was the one and only, Spider-Man. I'm pretty sure you know the rest. I joined The Avengers. I defeat Venom. You see, I saved a bunch of people, fell in love, saved the city. Again. And again. But I couldn't save the one I love, Gwen Stacy. And after that, I just lose everyone that close to me. Everyone blames me for her death. The Avengers kick me out. They labeled me as one of the most wanted criminals in the world. It makes me want to quit, quit being a Spiderman. The only thing that keeps me going is my promise to Gwen. One day when I was investigating in the city, this weird thing happened. I gotta say, weird things happen to me a lot. But this was really weird. You see, I was in New York but things were different. Also, The Spider-Man was dead. And that Spider-Man was not me. It's Peter Parker my best friend and sworn enemy. Except in this world, he was the good guy. I have a feeling that the thing that brought me here was the thing that got him killed. You wanna know what happened next? Me, too. AN: This is a male reader insert story. Jumping you into Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse story. You should definitely watch the movie before reading this. The story will pair the reader with Gwen. Just something I write in my free time.
