Kat always studied hard in school because her parents had very high expectations and didn't want anything to distract her from her education. Kat didn't have a lot of time to socialize with other kids because her parents said that friends would just be a distraction from work. Either way, she didn't have a choice because her parents always convinced her, and they were manipulative about it.
