This is my first story here. Basically it's a backstory I have for a D&D character for this campaign a friend of mine made. There's a few details in the story that I'm gonna explain, because like mentioned, it's an original quest my friend came up with and it's not in any of the official D&D books. I hope you like it ❤️

Mira Seasinger is a mermaid from the kingdom of Mermosa. When she was a young girl, the kingdom fell to tyranny, and anyone who attempted to speak out against it was swiftly imprisoned, or worse, executed. She and her brother were always taught by their parents to speak out against injustice. As such, she quickly grows resentful of the King and Queen, as well as anyone who works with them.
Will she follow obey the law and (spitefully) go along with it all? Or will she follow the values she learned in childhood? If so, what will happen to her? Will her brother follow those values, or will he be swept away in the crowd, like a wave on a beach? Will Mira achieve her goals and save her kingdom before it's too late? Or will her plan fail resulting in her execution and the endangerment of her future party? (Seriously though, I have no idea on that last one. The campaign is still running, and her quest is like, the last one, lol)
Well... there's only one way to find out.

*TW: Loss of loved one, betrayal, brief mentions of alcohol, potential character death. I'm putting this here now so that if any of this is a trigger to you, you have a heads up. Pretty sure when we get to Mira's part of the campaign, the DM's gonna make everyone cry (again), lol*
Also, apparently when the DM read Mira's backstory, she literally ended up crying, so...All Rights Reserved
