Colton Brooks lived 18 years with his horrible parents in North Dakota, spending as much time as possible out of the house. His only friends were guys that smoked, drank, and hooked up with any girl they could. Colton wasn't like that but he didn't care that they were. Colton knew his mother was pregnant, but he didn't know how far along she was or what the gender was, because he didn't really care, until he got a call from the hospital one day saying how his mother had given birth and they requested him there. 


The last thing Colton expected was to find out his parents completely abandoned their daughter at the hospital when they found out he was coming. The doctor told him he could either take the baby in or let her go to foster care. His first thought was foster care and that it would be better for her but the minute he laid his eyes on her he knew he couldn't give her up so he decided that he would take care of her and do his absolute best to give her everything he never had. He took her home and moved them all the way from North Dakota to Alabama and make a new life. He named her Violet and vowed to give her all of the love and attention he possibly could.
