As the Long Night ended and Ned Stark met his children in the Afterlife, he was disgusted with his children's greed and actions, weeping for how Jon had to suffer because of them and because of his actions that led to his son being lied to about his false Targaryen parentage by his own children, and never having told him about his real mother.

He suddenly wakes back up in time as his younger 14 year old self in Winterfell, back when he was visiting the place from his fostering in the Vale.
