[hi! I thought of this in summer of 2020 *which was arguably the best summer of my life!* while listening to, "girl in red." One night and just recently decided to write it down somewhere while funny enough, listening to the same song. Can you guess which one it was? I'll give you a hint, it's not on Spotify or Apple Music or anywhere you listen to music that isn't YouTube.]

"What do you want?" I mentally roll my eyes. "Can I not talk to my favorite girl?" She smiles walking dangerously close to me. Standing up from my chair I decide to move away from her to put some distance between us. "No you cannot talk to me, not anymore at least." There are ups and downs as their own stories go along, and it all gets more suspenseful towards the end where problems unfortunately arise. Loosely based on the folklore of seductive water sprites, particularly the Vila (a Central European version of Rusalka). Written for @AfterDark's "Mirror, Mirror" contest (Mar 2020) -'Mysterious Ways'. A young woman wakes in the wrong version of her bedroom. Or is it so wrong after all? ('You wake in a strange place, possibly as someone else.') -'The Listeners'. Morial and her fellow Spirit Listeners work hard to maintain the balance between nature and mortals; until, one Summer, Morial is accused of upsetting that balance herself. ("I know what you did last summer". The prompt features as paragraph nine in my story.) -'Between the (Spread)Sheets'. An accountant and a trader play cat-and-mouse in a City firm. (@Crime's 'Deceptive Detective' Aug 2020: one criminal goes undercover to expose or be exposed by another.) -'The Unexpected Message'. A missed phone call proves momentous for a young art historian. I chose Angel.) The only real thing in this story is the Museum of London (which has an excellent Roman gallery, btw); any coincidence with real heritage experts - or indeed the unrealistic probability of such a find - is my fault. -'Cyclopean Arches'. My eyes met hers, and I almost shivered as I was met with the undeniable lust behind them that replaced her anger mere seconds ago. "I just like pissing you off, I guess." I smiled innocently, alluding to her previous question. Her eyes darkened, before letting go of my hair and grabbing my throat instead. I felt her fingertips trail over over my soaked underwear, and a moment later she brought one of my hands to my core, instructing me to hold the lace fabric to the side, as she began to slowly circle my wetness, before dipping two fingers inside me without warning. My eyes rolled back, a moan escaping my lips as I whispered her name. "God, my name sounds like a sin on your lips." She purred over me, curling her fingers inside me, while thumbing my dripping core. - An innocent waitress, a flirt of a mafia boss, and a relentless string of...well, problems. This is my original story but there are some similarities to her's, so please go show her stories some love because she definitely deserves it. Runawaying from Redshore city wasn't my plan but I felt trapped in that city. You never could make it unless you had connections or were from a famous family and that's not how I wanted it to go. I love to sing and my best friend got me into dance. Now I love going with the flow and letting the music take over my body. I ran away from my home with nothing but my skateboard, guitar and a back full with anything I could shove inside of it. Now I live in a studio apartment, making my own songs with choreography for them and casually posting the audio of the song or the actual dance video on the internet because why not. I work at a skate shop to help pay my bills and to stay out of trouble with the police since I've gotten in trouble with them a couple of times for street performing without a license. But like my best friend used to say, "You're only in trouble if you get caught" and I never did, so now I just chat up with them to pass some time or to help someone. When I heard of a singing competition I thought it couldn't hurt. I mean I might be able to win a nice prize and get some more publicity for my music, which was more important to me then some cash prize but it would be nice.Complete
