Dakota Smith didn't return home after the death of her best friend, her soulmate, the woman who'd made her an aunt before being taken from the world far too early. Not because she didn't want to - she wanted to be there for Juliette, to visit and tend to Eden's grave, but she'd been sent away with the threat of NEVER being allowed back into Juliette's life if she didn't step away.
