Steffen Costas has a secret. A big secret, he is transgender.

After a suicide attempt at the age of 13, Steffen began his transition from female to male. After 3 years, he felt ready to go back to public school after years of isolation. However, he is going back with intention.

Garret Amos is a bully, and was the common denominator in Steffen's decision to try and attempt suicide. He continues to rampage kids, and Steffen decides that he isn't going to let Garrett get away with everything he has done to him.

Using his new look, new identity, and the fact that no one knows he transitioned, Steffen poses as the half-brother of his formal self to try and get Garrett to admit to everything he's done. During this process, Steffen makes new friends, falls in love, and learns about the hardships of loss and betrayal.
