John Smith lives a pretty normal life. He works at an insurance firm, lives in a three bedroom house, has a Honda Civic and drives to visit his parents every fortnight. What he doesn't have is a smartphone or a fancy laptop.

One morning, John gets ready for work as usual, but when he walks down to his car, it looks like he's hit one person; or more than one by the amount of blood. John has no clue what has happened, but thankfully his neighbor's security footage and his alibi confirms that John is not the murderer.

Mary has all but forgotten her childhood friend. She knows her friend was chased out of town because she could shoot things better than a boy. Aside from that, she's barely thought about her.
