Janet finds a wolf-dog with a very bad cut on one of its hind legs and decides to take care of it. She feels connected to the creature.
Kaiden finds a girl around his age and he is drawn to her and very intrigued by her painting.
Then one day a man shows up claiming to be her mother's twin and gives Janet the creeps then he is forced to leave. That encounter forces them to go up north. Everything unravels after that.
