While his pod was automated and continued to gather data and DNA to create him, Gero's super computer was destroyed before it had finished his mind. He was intelligent, but had no real knowledge of the world to go off of. He knew only three things. He was a bio-android designated as Ø, he knew how to fight, and he remembered a name. Son Goku.
