Aria Baker is quiet, good-natured girl living in Maryland with her mom and dad. She's had a less than fortunate life for her first eight years, with her mother's inherited alcoholism and her father not understanding the importance of being consistently present. Yet despite the odds she's managed to remain uncommonly kind.
But now the dead are walking, and her dad decides to disappear off again. When her mom goes after him, Aria is left alone. She's scared, confused and hours away from home. Her only hope for her parents return being her mom's promise that she'll "be right back."
⚠️ This contains mature themes such as abuse, drugs, and suicide. It is not constant but the topic of abuse is a strong theme throughout. Read at your own risk. ⚠️

Waking up from the coma Emma meets the Sheriff's Deputy Rick Grimes, which it wouldn't be a big deal if it weren't the apocalypse. Rick helps guide Emma back to a camp of people who unexpectedly become Emma's family. She meets her dad for the first time. She has no clue what happened to her mom.
