There once was a girl who walked in the ocean. She loved the ocean and some days she would walk for hours, deeper and deeper until the ocean swallowed her whole. She loved the cool waves of salty bliss and the smoothness of the wet sand under her feet. She felt free as her dress pooled around her waist, rippling with the water as the currents pulled her this way and that. As she stepped deeper and deeper, her dress kept her grounded and only the air in her lungs kept her afloat.
One day the air in her lungs isn't enough. She dies. After an autopsy of her body reveals that there were some pretty intoxicating date-rape drugs in her system, Katherine Reynolds will have to fight through traumatizing events in her life that will help to find out who this daughter of the ocean is, and what exactly happened to her.
