Archer and Jack Owen are vampire hunters, raised and trained by their father. From a young age they swore an oath to protect the innocents in their world from monsters. For the past few years the contracts have slowed and if Archer has to hunt another cabinet troll he will lose his mind. So when the pair receive a contract from a small town called Meadow Hill in the mountains to investigate the disappearances of small children, it seems like a chance to finally hunt something worthwhile.

When they discover the missing children are linked to a nearby castle overlooking town, the hunters begin to question what is really going on. Meanwhile inside the walls of Bancroft Castle a lone prisoner plots their escape as the hunters make their entrance. As the investigation unfolds, Archer soon finds himself alone in the fight of his life against an enemy far more powerful and experienced than he.

Archer will need to gather his wits and become the warrior his father trained him to be if he plans to escape and hunt the creature who stalks Meadow Hill before he awakens his ancestors and brings about a plague upon the land.

A retelling of the Hades and Persephone myth, a story of fate, the struggle for power, and love found in the most unexpected places. ***** Persephone has been raised in Olympus all her life - her mother absent, her father a cruel king, with her siblings teaching her all they know. She has seen all of what the gods and goddesses do and she is sick of it. When she learns her safety is threatened by staying in Olympus, she flees to the Underworld. There she stays until she learns that her leaving has caused the world to wilt. But leaving behind her newfound friends and Lady of the Underworld is something she will not do willingly, no matter the consequences.
