Yukio Sakuragi, a famous detective among the humans and the fae kingdom, Serendell, a legend. That is what everyone calls him but for Yukio himself, he is a haunted man broken by a horrible and terrible past that made him who he is today. 
His past was a horrible one, the one that he was not willing to share because of the mental scars that it had given him, that haunts him no matter where he goes, and the past had finally reached him when human and faes started to die one by one and that he was summoned by the new High King of Serendel, his old friend, to investigate the deaths of the humans and faes and also the old High King of Serendell or risk both sides going into a war where no one will win.
With no choice and no where to run, Yukio has to navigate through his old friend's romantic and suggestive advances towards him, fae politics, human politics, trust, betrayal and the deep depths of lies and deceit in order to find the truth behind the old king's murder and the deaths of the humans and faes but can he protect his heart while navigating through it? What happens when he find the truth about himself, about his birth father and the reason why his birth father left him? If he fails, everything he had worked so hard on will crumble into the dust, and so does his broken heart for the one he had loved so many years ago.
