This story is about a guardian named Dream, who has a terrible disorder named Tekanus, which can make him cannibalistic if starved for a long time. It occurred during his creation due to a magical imbalance and heavy loss of Nim's blood. Therefore, Nim thought of him as a mistake and neglected him and cared for Nightmare, who cared for Dream. Time flies by, after the Apple Incident, as usual, Nightmare became corrupted while Dream turned to stone. After 495 years, Dream goes berserk due to starvation after a long time but is later calmed down by his brother. He now moves on but keeps his disorder as a secret but is later exposed when Ink Sans starves him for a long time and mocks him for not saving his girlfriend, her sister and his brother. When Ink is exploring the au's, he stumbles upon a new au where he meets a new friend named Nightmare. The both of them create a close bond, and Nightmare explains how the villagers mistreats him and how they treasure Dream. Ink knew Dream for awhile, but Dream never mentions Nightmare. One day Nightmare had enough of the villagers and ate the apple of negativity and leaves Dreamtale empty. When Ink comes to visit Nightmare, he sees that everyone is disappeared, and so did Nightmare. Not mention Dreams new and unusual behaviour towards Ink. TWs!!! because I can't seem to tag them for some reason! abuse, mental health issues, torture, mental break downs, manipulation, all that fun stuff. This is NOT a lighthearted story! Nightmare had been alone in his head for the longest time. For 500 years he was able to gain more power, a castle, a gang, and a reputation of one of the most dangerous beings in the multiverse. But when Dream had broken out of stone, someone else made themselves known, someone who should have been dead. OR Corrupted Nightmare is a parasite and Passive Nightmare refuses to die.
