Auden Fairchild can be described in one words: mystery. With her auburn hair and symmetrical face, she has the potential to be the most popular girl at Stratford High. So no one knows why she chooses to eat in the corner of the cafeteria alone or why she visibly flinches whenever someone comes within a few feet of her. No one knows why she chooses to live amongst the shadows when she could be the brightest burning star.

Blake Larson is the epitome of a hockey heartthrob. He's new to Stratford, all the way from Massachusetts and it seems that the most of his problems is the lousy hockey program at Stratford and the fact that he's single. Lucky for him, his blond hair and green eyes solve the latter. Every girl is attracted to him like moths to a flame. But though his pickings of girls are far from slim, he's drawn to the quiet girl who can't seem to get far enough from him. As he learns more and more about her, every part of him seems to tell him to get away from her, but his infatuation with her grows into something he can't escape.

Riley Lachkov's life has only ever consisted of one thing - soccer. Raised in a family where emotions don't exist, Riley has put on a cold-front for as long as he could remember. Many people think that they know him - a cocky, arrogant, rude jerk who couldn't give less of a shit about what others think, but deep down, there's a part of him that no one has ever seen. A part of him that he never wants anyone to see. Archer Wilson has got everything going for him. From being at the top of all of his classes, to also being the most popular boy in school, his life is perfect. Everyone who knows Archer can confirm that he is anything but mean - with his charismatic personality, and his ability to make anyone swoon for him, he's the golden boy at Saint Arthur's Preparatory School. When Riley's family immigrated from Russia to the States, he struggles to fit in, finding it difficult to start his entire life over when the only thing he's ever known was his life back in his home country. His closed off personality and his tendency to act like a total douchebag didn't help either - in fact, it just made people want to stay away from him even more. But that doesn't stop Archer from trying. In fact, it makes him more intrigued in this new, feisty transfer student, more keen to break down all the walls that Riley has worked so hard to keep up for his entire life. Archer can't help but praise him for every little thing he does- in his eyes, Riley was an angel. He knew he was whipped the moment he saw him. What happens when Archer, the top student at Saint Arthur's, suddenly begins to develop an interest in the new transfer student, whose personality is as cold as ice? Will Riley finally begin to let him in, or will he continue to push him out, like he's done throughout his entire life? #1 in #gayfiction (12.2.2025) tropes: #grumpyxsunshine, #polaropposites, #slowburn, #temporaryunrequitedlove #popularnerdxlonelyathlete All Rights Reserved to Asphericity

Meet Violet Summers. She's the sarcastic girl who doesn't really ever get noticed by anyone. She blends into any crowd because of how "normal" she is. And she loves it. She wouldn't be able to stand the attention of everyone around her. That's why she won't tell Ryan Bloore, her crush for three years, that she practically worships the ground he walks on. Ryan is the captain of the basketball team at their school, so guys see him like he's a god and girls act like he walks on water. If they were to date, all eyes would be on her- she would be under everyone's scrutiny. So she's kept her feelings a secret, and she's done her best to suppress her emotions these past years, but she's realized that she's been so caught up in making people not notice her that she didn't realize how lonely she would be when no one was watching. Now meet Ryder Knight. School bad boy. Quarterback captain and heartthrob. The kind that wears a leather jacket and has tattoos all over his arms. The one who shows up to school riding a motorcycle. Just your average run of the mill "if you get involved with this guy, you will meet some serious trouble" kind of male. Well, too bad for Violet, she's stuck with him now. After all of the years of pushing away her feelings for Ryan because of her fear of being seen, she is now all anyone can look at- because of Ryder. Because of him, she can feel their stares, and she hates him for it. The longer they spend time together, the more Ryder starts to realize he actually enjoys being around her-despite her snarky comments about how much she despises him. And if Violet is being completely honest with herself, she's also starting to realize she might not actually hate the fact that people are noticing her now, but hate the way Ryder makes her feel.
