Your father is forcing you to marry someone you have never met. The night before your wedding you tie your sheets together and make your escape through the window. Half way down you make eye contact with someone doing the exact same thing a few windows over.

                                        ---------------

Royal families hold a reverent image and must uphold it in front of their nobles and citizens. What then shall the Princess of England do when she has no interest in fulfilling her father's wish of marrying a never seen prince of Netherlands.

                                        ---------------

Jane, also known as Jess, is the only daughter of the King of England, Leo Evans. Upon meeting the French Princess Catherine, Jane and Catherine develop mutual feelings for one another. But the arranged marriage by King Leo troubles the two love birds.

Wanting to fly far and high in love, the two must decide their actions wisely for it affects not only their lives but the honour of their families as well. Should they take a wrong step, the centuries old prestige of their families will be put on test.

Witness passionate love, royal family drama and kingdom affairs and journey through the life of two suffocating birds as they try making things work in the intolerant and conservative society of the seventeenth century.

Even teen evil queens need love. Right? (Or at least a handsome sword-fighting minion to do their bidding!) *** Bad things happen when Rowen is around and the worst part is, she has no idea why until a massive family secret sends her on a fantastical journey to fight her evil fate. Will Rowen fold into the forces of dark magic or honor her true self? *** On the surface, Rowen Keckilpenny-Brown seems like a normal teenage girl with normal teen problems-no boyfriend, overprotective parents, and no friends other than a three-legged cat. But her wild red hair, reptilian eyes, and legendary temper say otherwise. When Rowen accidentally blows up the school gym, she discovers a dark secret her fathers have kept from her-she's the heir to an evil queen's throne. The current evil queen, Petronella Grimshaw, is desperate to crown Rowan the new sovereign and blackmails her into traveling to the queendom. Rowen has one month to learn how to evil queen, and it's not easy because there are those in the castle who want her dead, witches are disappearing, and an annoyingly cute swordsman keeps distracting her. Worst of all, Rowan finds herself in a duel against her biggest enemy: herself. She must fight her true fate, in the process uncovering deep familial mysteries and perhaps the biggest secret ever...That maybe, just maybe, she deserves to be loved after all. Princess Diaries meets the School for Good & Evil with a touch of Wednesday Addams thrown in for bad luck. The best kind! Cover by @ClarissaNorth

Four months later, the Academy is opening back up, and Catherine is as numb and emotional as she's ever been. As antagonistic forces loom in the distance, and Catherine's protest gets closer and closer to becoming an event, Catherine has to confront everything that she's come to know and believe so far. Don't Want to be Queen | ONC 2023 (Complete)

12 parts Complete

Free-spirited homebody Erica doesn't want to be queen. Which is fine, because her single, independent older sister Gemma is more than ready for the job. But their father doesn't care about any of that. He thinks a queen ought to be married and producing heirs (Yes, he really says producing heirs) if she is to take the throne. No matter how hard the girls try to convince him, the king will not budge. Gemma needs to get married at her upcoming birthday ball or he passes her over in favour of her sister being the next queen. Desperate to turn their circumstances back right-side-up, the two concoct a plan to find someone for Gemma to choose who will definitely not choose her back. But in order to do that, Erica is going to have to work together with her longtime crush. Who doesn't know she exists. She'll have to keep her feelings in check if she's going to convince him to help, but she might want to offer him a little something in return. ~ * ~ * ~ This is one of the five novellas I'll be writing for this year's ONC!
