Loud screams echoed through the Castle. Again and again curses and counter curses flashed up and the crashing explosions shook the walls of Hogwarts. With panic in her eyes Hermione looked around herself. There was smoke everywhere and the dust of crumbling walls settled upon Hermione's sweaty skin. Looking at her, she almost seemed like one of the stone soldiers that Minerva McGonagall had brought to life.
The stone soldiers were tasked to defend the castle, protect it from the onslaught of Voldemort and his men, but it had been futile. They were outnumbered, and against the Inferi neither the members of the Order nor Dumbledore's Army stood any real chance. They had been outmatched. Voldemort had gathered so many supporters, it was impossible to fight him without any support from the Ministry. And it was the Ministry that had been under the command of the Dark Lord for quite some time.

Ashes of Tomorrow

12 parts Ongoing Mature

Hermione Granger didn't mean to get separated. She didn't mean to find it. And she certainly didn't mean to end up in 1977. While lost in the depths of Hogwarts during the final battle, Hermione stumbles upon a strange, ancient time-turner buried deep within the castle walls. One accidental activation-and she's flung back over two decades into the past: before Voldemort's rise, before the prophecy, before the world she knows even begins to unravel. Stranded in time with no clear way home, her only choice is to blend in. Disguised as the new Charms professor at Hogwarts, she resolves to lay low, keep to herself, and avoid disturbing the delicate threads of the future. But staying out of trouble becomes far more complicated when she finds herself drawn to a student she was raised to fear-Severus Snape. Young, sharp, and already dancing dangerously close to darkness, he's nothing like the man she remembers. She knows who he becomes. She knows what he loses. What she doesn't know... is how it all began.
