It had started with him inhaling, the sound of a strange metal clicking before a low hum vibrated the metal floor below his back. His brown eyes fluttered open, taking in his surroundings, and the other 39 faces filled with shock and fear as the box began taking them up to an unknown destination. A place they would be calling home for the next two years.

For her, it had started with running, the sound of her own heaving breath nearly covering the sound of chasing feet behind her. A stroke of luck, a twist of fate, and she's swept away into a warm embrace. A family takes her under their wing, bringing her to a place where Cranks and the Flare would never reach her. A family and friends, something she never had before.
But the good things never last. The glue dried out, peeling back the lies that had been blinding her for so long. Her world, cracking, crumbling around her, and she's forced to run again.
Home. Home is where she had fled. And she ran to another safe haven, filled with the friends who have long since forgotten her under the memories that were stolen. A safe haven. A bigger prison cell, a test she had no answers to.

This is my first character x reader book, so sorry if it sucks! When the maze was being built, their was a family that snuck in unnoticed. Their family only had three people. The Mother, The Father, and The Daughter. You. But due to the flare your parent's died, killing themselves in hope you would be safe. So you were all alone, stuck in the maze with the grievers. But they never hurt you, because W.I.C.K.E.D never got to you. Grievers are programmed to harm and or kill people from the glade. But that doesn't include you. You stayed in the maze for the rest of your life, until people started to show up. You mostly stay away from the gladers, until you save a certain boy that sets your world on fire. Everything you knew started to change. And now you are wanted by W.I.C.K.E.D. So make your choice. Join W.I.C.K.E.D and possibly get a cure. or Join the fight, and help burn W.I.C.K.E.D to the ground. {COMPLETED}Complete

I wake up to the sound of metal clanging off metal. It isn't a peaceful awakening I think. It was pitch black wherever I am, yet there is a sliver of light at the top of this.....tunnel maybe. I try to stand up but end up hitting my head on something which i guess is the top of this box. Where am i? i question myself. Wait,who am i? I couldn't remember my name or anything yet i knew the basic stuff like math and science and i'm a human. The box i'm in is quickly picking up speed. I sit back down and watch as the top of the tunnel comes to a halt as the box has suddenly stopped. The Glade. It's a scary place.
