ARCADIUS

Arcadius lives in a household where even the smallest actions, like leaving a single fork in the sink, can ignite an explosive conflict. Trapped in a cycle of walking on eggshells to avoid her mother's wrath, she feels the weight of the unjust expectations placed on her as a young woman while her brother faces none. When her mother's frustration turns violent, Arcadius is cast out once again-this time for good, it seems.

With only her school, a job she loves but pays just enough to get by, and a strained relationship with her father, Arcadius realizes that "home" might never be a safe place for her. As she boards a bus to nowhere, carrying nothing but her belongings and a heart heavy with grief, she's left to figure out how to survive on her own.
