In 1950, a radioactive meteor struck Starville, California, giving birth to the first generation of superhuman "Meteorpers." Two of these Meteorpers, Balé and Immanuel, were the children of retired superheroes and famous politicians, Amanda and Jakari Barnes. Born in 1980, Balé and Immanuel developed incredible powers, becoming two of the most formidable superheroes ever recorded - Night-Fire and Blizzardo, respectively.
However, in 1998, a tragic event known as the "Chaos of '98" occurred in Starville, leading to several lawsuits, a superhero retirement program, a rise in civilian hatred, and war against normal humans and villainous supers.
Twenty-five years later, Balé and Immanuel discover that their parents have mysteriously vanished. After suiting up for the first time in nearly three decades, the brothers prepare for an unexpected but powerful battle, fighting to undo the repercussions of their past actions.
