When I took another step back, my feet found a round structure instead of the flat floor that I had been anticipating.

I realised, too late, that I had collided with the rolled rug and before I could regain my balance, I crashed down, the chalice spilling its contents right over my head, drenching me in blood.

The devil cocked his head to a side, staring me down, but this time, I glared right back.

I was going to file for a replacement because this demon wasn't working.

Sydney Hartley, computer whiz by the day, and devoted bridesmaid by the evening needs a date to her sister's wedding by the end of the month. 

With absolutely no other alternative left, and nothing much to loose, she turns to her friend's suggestion and tries to summon a demon to accompany her. 

What she does not expect is Lucifer showing up in the middle of her apartment even after a failed, and highly embarrassing, attempt to perform an evocation.

Turns out, he needs a date to a wedding, too, but not just any wedding. A wedding for his ex-girlfriend, IN HELL.

What's better than not having to sell your soul to the devil and getting away with such a simple transaction?

Except, nothing is ever simple when it comes to the Morningstar. Specially not any deals.
