In December 2000, Vivienne Hawthorne died at the age of sixteen. Doomed to the same fate as all her siblings as a monster digs their claws into her skin - she reunites with her mortal mother in the underworld. But the domain in which she was born from felt wrong, a sense of displacement as she sat upon the fields of those with souls not extraordinary enough to land in Elysium.

In September 2003, Luke Castellan went on his first quest at the age of seventeen. Cursed to repeat a quest already done by Hercules; the glory he desperately wanted slipped from his fingers as the golden apple he was sent to retrieve remained in the garden. With nothing but a scar as proof of his participation in that wretched quest.

In October 2003, Luke Castellan meets a peculiar girl with jet-black hair with streaks of platinum blonde. Vivienne Hawthorne did not know where the hell she was.
