naruto uzumaki was sent on the sasuke retrieval mission along with the males of the konoha rookies.
naruto and susuke has their fated battle in the valley of the end and during the last clash of their primary jutsus rasengan and chidori. naruto does something he would very soon come to regret. sasuke blinded by the rage and overwellming power of the curse mark stabbed his arm through the only true friend he had and the only one who understood his pain. naruto after passing away in the arms of his friend wakes up in a completely white plane.
