A world divided.
When Cretian colonists first conquered Hayl in 1894, it was an island lush with opportunity. The indigenous Endars were peaceful. The verdant hills were fertile. Priceless deposits of ferricon lay just beneath the soil. It was paradise.
But now it's 2138. The Cretian mining industry has destroyed Hayl. Acid rain consumes the earth. Paradise has perished. And the Endars want revenge. When Endar opportunist Julius Strom begins secretly enacting his Retribution Initiative, the Cretians face their demise head-on.
All Lucas wants to do is survive. All Judith wants to do is save her family. They are ostracized, hated by everyone for crimes that aren't their own. In a world dictated by skin color and cruelty, is it possible for anyone to find peace?
