In the world of Aerth, a war broke out that devastated a majority of the world millennia ago. Now the remnants of humanity survive in the ruins of bygone civilizations while fighting off creatures and even other humans twisted from the war to keep peace. Not many know the reason why the war started, or who participated in it, but many believe the secret is held at the epicenter of the devastation: The Badlands. A massive continent in the center of the world that has two massive towers that pierce the heavens.
The story follows a lone Phantom, a human raised from death for a purpose unknown, as he awakens in The Badlands and delves into it to find the truth of both the war and his existence.
