Adrienne Anderson, a member of the "Junior Justice League."
She serves under the hero name "Black Monarch" with a fate that has been entwined with the Justice League for as long as she can remember. She's had her fair share of bumps and bruises, but with as many victories as she's claimed, it is her innermost thoughts and emotions that contrive her downfall.
When things begin to fall apart--aliens threatening invasion, her best friend's murder at the hands of an old acquaintance, her childhood infatuation resurfacing, and Nightwing revealing the biggest lie he's ever kept from her--Adrienne's world shatters, thus allowing her anger to consume her. She becomes something darker, something stronger and more dangerous than any member of the Justice League could have anticipated--at least, those who are unaware of Adrienne's true nature.
Her other half threatens to devour her. The Justice League and the Team fight for the chance to save their longtime friend and teammate. Nightwing and Artemis must trust Red Arrow to help them fix everything they've risked. And Adrienne must look within herself to decide whether or not she has the will to survive.
