Me: Well, actually, I was just looking for a xreader story with an adult Donnie, where the female character is strong and independent, doesn't need to be rescued all the time, and isn't a giggling schoolgirl. April: And you didn't find anything? Me: Don't get me wrong, April! There are so incredibly great fanfics and xreader stories out there, and I ate them all up! But I needed a new kick and I wanted something epic, dramatic that involved the mystical powers of the turtles and their further developments. April: And then you started writing yourself? Me: The story came about on its own. In my head. And at some point I just had to write it down, otherwise I would have exploded. With the writing, it didn't become a typical xreader story with the "y/n" in it, because that had irritated me. I know that the "y/n" comes out of an inclusive thought, and I think that's good and right. Unfortunately it blocked me, the heroine in my story was too complex and too concrete, and so I gave it up, even if it was no longer a real xreader story. April: And now you're writing a second book? She tried to help the turtles, despite being confused as hell, but gets splashed with mutagen. She is, understandably, freaked out when she suddenly gets a pink axolotls features. Donnie was hurt. April had told him the truth, albeit with infinite gentleness. She wasn't interested in him, and was in a relationship with Casey. He was sad, understandably, but his attention was brought from that when he meets a newly mutated person. Look, I know that ROTTMNT came out, but I grew up watching the 2012 version, so I'm going to do a story on a key part of my childhood. This will not, however, follow the plot of the show, because I am lazy and remember the bare minimum.
