Ruby's heart sunk into her stomach and she went pale, she felt as if she was going to be sick and puke right in front of everyone. She wanted to run but she felt something keeping her still. Her body said to run but her heart refused.
"You wished for Ruby?" asked Henry.
"Not directly, but yes, and I know she wished for something too."
They were quiet for a second, and Ruby's heart felt as if it was going to implode in her chest. Her breath hitched in her throat, she felt like she was dreaming, floating in space. She felt her world melt around her, leaving nothing but Pan and herself. Pan knew her better than anyone else, yet they were simply strangers.

I had no parents, Peter's were drunk when they had him, so he was abandoned. Peter Pan never thought he'd do anything selfless. He never thought he'd want to die. He never thought he'd be able to love. He never thought he'd see all consuming love in someone's eyes as they looked at him. Yet Peter Pan hadn't met Alianna. That girl. Pan easily belittled her with his words, his tone harshly mocking, and his gaze so intense and furious - it would have burnt Metanoia alive right in the spot if he allowed it. However, Metanoia stood her ground, stepping forward and diminishing the space between them as she stared up at him defiantly. Her vicious glare on him hardened and her lips curled in a blinding rage the longer she stared at him. "Oh, I didn't. I'm well aware of what you're capable of by now - I just simply don't give a damn anymore." She replied, her tone eerily calm despite her livid feelings, and Pan smirked down at her in amusement, entertaining the conversation further by willing to prod for an elaboration. "And why is that, my dear Metanoia?" Something flashed in her blue eyes, but it was gone as soon as it came. Nonetheless, Peter noticed it easily, and realisation flickered within him. "Because I've got nothing left to lose." She responded simply, her voice laced with a hint of heartbreak, but the ruthless rage was a perfect tone to conceal it. Still, Pan noticed it. Metanoia took a step backwards and threw her arms wide open in the air as she laughed humourlessly. "And that is why I am now a threat to you, Peter Pan.
