Alexander Hamilton- 19 year old, socially awkward, traumatised orphan from the Caribbean. He's dream finally came true- he got a scholarship to King's College and he's not gonna throw away his shot!
John Laurens- 20 years old, has a rich abusive and controlling dad, is a member of a band called The Revolutionary Crew and got into the same college as Alex. He's in the place to be, finally free to do whatever HE wants to do.
These two are polar opposites- Alex is a workaholic, John thinks learning is boring, John is a social butterfly, Alex has no friends at all, etc., but both of them share a love for music (that Alex tries to deny).
What happens when Alex becomes one of the band members in John's band by accident? Can these two learn something from one another? Or will their differences make it impossible for them to stand each other?

What most people didn't know is that behind the charming smiles and weekly hookups, John Laurens was just a desperate gay guy in search for a cute that didn't sleep. He convinced himself that if he slept with enough girls, he would start liking them eventually, but it doesn't work that way. He doesn't notice me He just smiles and says "Thank you for the trigonometry" 'Cause that's all it meant to him.. ~~ Alexander Hamilton is the smartest person at the local high school in New York City. Had a promising future, but no money for it. John Laurens, on the other hand, was the richest person in the same school (besides maybe his friends, the Schuyler Sisters), but he had no interest in learning anything to go anywhere. So it only makes sense for these two to work together to get where they want to be, right? Far Too Damaged- A Lams Fanfiction
Alexander Hamilton is selectively mute, depressed, and just altogether damaged. His soulmate, John Laurens, knows it too, from the overwhelming waves of sadness he feels occasionally to the aching pains in his forearms. John wishes that he could help him, but he knows nothing about his soulmate. However, the odds are in Alexander and John's favor when Alex enrolls in Kings College, where John is a student. John might find Alex, but will it be in time? Can he save him from James Reynolds? WARNINGS: There is rape, angst, depression, cursing, and lots of other stuff that is inappropriate for young reader. I can't stop you though. Basically how the soulmate thing works like: When you kiss your soulmate, a band in your skin forms on your left ring finger. You can change the band to look however you want. If your soulmate is feeling a strong emotion, your soulmate feels it too. If you get hurt, your soulmate feels a muffled version of that pain. Yes I used a Heathers quote as the title FIGHT ME (Don't actually I'm weak, there's a reason I act instead of playing sports) (Not that acting/dancing/singing isn't hard but ya). I really had no idea what I was doing when I started writing this so sorry if it's weird or things don't make sense. Cliche title, but I have a reason for it This AU is set in the late 90's-Early 2000's btw John has been blind all his life. He's gotten used to the near constant teasing, taunting and bullying for having to bring his service dog, Philip, everywhere. He wasn't expecting anyone to bug him that fateful day at the library, but meeting Alex was probably the best moment of his life. Alex has lived in the Caribbean all his life, and has just recently raised enough money to be able to go to America. He passed the entrance exam to King's College with such astounding scores that he got in full scholarship. He wasn't expecting to run into anyone that fateful day at the library, but meeting John was probably the best thing that ever happened to him. Will contain mentions/doing of adorable gay fluff, some straight fluff, self harm, bullying, swearing, and other things. It was an interesting one, which started off rocky at first, but ended up turning into something great. Well, it did for the rest of high school, anyway. But everyone also knows that relationships just don't last like they used to, especially high school ones. So what happens when they go to separate schools in New Jersey? John Laurens seems to find himself fascinated in his new art school, invested with his new friends.
