Gavin Reed hated androids. He hated how they talked, how they moved and how they looked. Especially the toaster of a detective that had been working with them since shortly before the revolution. Half a year has passed since the androids were acknowledged as sentient and he still couldn't fully get used to them.
They had "rights" now. Gavin had to treat these advanced computers with respect - by law. Of course, he didn't want to. But he wanted to loose his job even less.
Reed was forced into the android sensibilty program by Fowler, after he mistreated the tincan "Connor" one to many times. Shortly after he had trouble deciding what he hated more: the fact that he was slowly beginning to warm up to these... things or that they got another one of them. The RK900 - Connors successor model - was assigned to Gavin.
The cocky deviant was more intimidating, more assertive, more... attractive? Gavin hated that the new android wasn't as much of a pushover as Conner. Though it left him wondering how routhless the android could be. If he'd degrade, humiliate and hurt him even more than he fantasized about. If he'd force Gavin to do stuff he didn't want to do, simply because he could. Because the RK900 was stronger, faster and smarter than Gavin ever would be.
Reeds lust and curiosity was slowly winning over his hatred and pride; and he despised himself for it.

You didn't really want the assignment, you only accepted because your dad asked with a promise of meeting a brilliant lieutenant and Cyberlife's most promising project, the RK800. The truths came out last minute but you couldn't back out. The pair found it impossible to get along, coming back with lack luster results. Deviants kept getting away and evidence led nowhere. They made no progress in figuring out the root to deviancy. It was your job to find out the reason for it. Aka, babysitting a drunk detective and a boring android. Or- that's what you thought at least. Secrets start to unravel- Cyberlife had much bigger plans for your team. Along the way you find yourself stuck between something you couldn't predict. Androids kept deviating, more on the rise with every day that passed. A revolution was forming and Cyberlife didn't want them to become sentient. As it all unraveled you found yourself stuck in the middle. The boring android wasn't as boring as you'd thought. You found yourself entranced by him, and he rewrote his own programming for you. A machine wasn't supposed to feel what he felt, and you were supposed to find what caused deviancy- not create it yourself.

It's a rom-com with androids, murder, and mystery. When Fowler assigns you and Connor to an unusual B and E case, you do some sleuthing like the good detectives you are. One thing leads to another -- until you're suddenly dealing with an android supremacist who targets android-human couples. As the case progresses, you and Connor become closer, and you have to deal with feelings you thought you'd buried when it came to him. But right when you think you can have it all, shit hits the fan again, and Connor is in trouble. It's about Gavin, who works in the Detroit Police Department and one day gets an Android (classic). Together they try to escape the army and the war with Hank, Connor and many other deviants. They face a lot of problems trying to get to Canada and finding themselves.
