It's grade 10 and Kenny has never lacked confidence, from living in poverty to dealing with Cartman on a daily basis - nothing can bring him down.

Butters, however, lacks self esteem in the simplest of tasks. No matter what he does, he cannot escape the prison in his mind that labels him a bad person and harasses him with nightmares of a car in a river almost every night.

The more time Kenny spends around Butters, the more he realises he does lack confidence; in expressing love.

Both of them carry pain that needs kissing better.
