For My Derelict Favorite- American Romance Style

Story Description:
I woke up in my favorite romance novel. Yes, I know it sounds like a cheesy fantasy plot but it's really happening to me! I'm in a new body, I have an unreasonably large amount of money, and I've used it to purchase myself a noble title so that I can attend as many royal functions as possible to follow my favorite characters through the story. Watching the last page of my favorite novel play out in front of my eyes was amazing. Time well spent. Now that the story is over I can finally go home.
But I didn't. The story continued past the ending in the worst ways imaginable. My favorite character, the second male romantic interest, died.
Kaelus is dead.
I had no more reason to live in that world. What was I here for, if not to see my tossed-away, beautiful, cunning Kaelus get his happy ending?
I wasted away. I was happy to die. I just wanted to wake up in the real world again and go back to my normal life. Instead, I woke up back in the novel on the last day of the story. Again.
That means Kaelus is alive!
Now my sole purpose is to keep him that way and make the main characters pay for what they did to him. Then when that is done I can finally go home... right?
