Naina walked home, her smile slipping as her mind began to spin with darker thoughts, memories, and long-buried feelings that had started surfacing the moment she met Shanvi. The moment she first saw her, standing alone at the back of the classroom, head down, pretending not to care that no one approached her-Naina knew. Shanvi was different, special. Hers.
She didn't belong to the world that judged her, the classmates who whispered behind her back. She didn't even belong to herself. No, Shanvi belonged to Naina. And Naina would make sure it stayed that way.
