Technically, this is still gonna be based off of The Outsiders, except what if The Socials were up in the rich class while The Greasers were now in the middle class, aka the not too rich nor too poor?
Also just to clear something up, this will take part once it's modern time. Because it made the most sense cuz in The Outsiders it does explain that Dallas did get kicked out form his dad/fathers house in New York, so I thought why not make the setting be in New York?
