Nathaniel Greyson had been a good friend to Jack Sparrow since his mutiny from the Black Pearl. His nimble body was great for thieving, but as he grew older, became a formidable pirate under Jack's wing.

Elizabeth Swann hated piracy and everything it stood for. Or that's what she has been told to do. Truth is she had been fascinated from a young age, but her family and those in power suppressed it.

After coming into possession of an old Aztec gold coin, she is captured by the crew of the Black Pearl. Nathaniel, as well as Jack, and a young man named Will Turner, embark on a voyage to save her, and retake the Black Pearl.

Elizabeth has an animosity towards him from the very beginning, but the whispers of the sea could change her beliefs.
