why me? i never thought i'd pass the test. i have no choice now. i am a sentinel and it's the people like me who have to save our existence.  

The Sentinel Project is a story about a Military program developed to save the human race. After Earth becomes unlivable after The Last War, what was left of the human race took to the final frontier. At the outer reaches of the galaxy they come across a sentient lifeform that is completely invulnerable to anything that is not "connected" to something bigger than anything you could even imagine. I am not from this planet. Hell, I am technically not from this galaxy. However, that doesn't change the fact I am here now, and my job is to save what I can on this forsaken planet and what's left of its inhabitants. The problem is that not everyone wants to be saved. I know what you're thinking. You can't save those who don't want to be saved. I bloody well agree. The ones who sent me don't care what you or I think, though. All they care about is numbers. They need a certain success rate to continue to get funding for their "expeditions" and "peacekeeping" efforts. I use both terms loosely here. However, that's what they put on their records, and it's what sounds good and looks suitable to their investors. So this is the way it's going to be. So be it! Oh, did I forget to mention the Universe decided I was the lucky girl to help find the one person who could save us all from self-destruction? Yea, that is a shitty idea, but once again, no one cares what I think.

I wasn't special, I wasn't a marine or a scientist sent here from earth to study Pandora, I was a behaviorist-some say behaviorists are scientists too; but the brain isn't made up of mathematics and hope, it's like the roots of trees. Forever speaking but unheard. I study people's brains and their behavior. I don't look at it with hope and faith. I'm nothing special, not really. When I was accepted to help with Project Pandora, I was exhilarated. This was my big break, something to get me out there. I never expected for it to spiral into my life unprofessionally-become personal, emotional. That I would have to fight in a war between man and alien, choose between my own people and a clan of beings that accepted me-welcomed me, trained and made me one of them. This wasn't supposed to become personal, but it did.

A gentle approach to world building with a bit of humor, romanticism, and just enough hints of drama without going into it. Also there might be some sensitive parts, so TW; Blood/Gore, Trauma, and little bit 18+ Leo Sully, Jake and Tom Sully's little brother is a tough kid. He's smart, funny, kind, but will break your spine if you hurt his family. When he finds out his brother, Tom, passes he breaks down and is taken with his brother Jake to explore a planet named Pandora. How will he cope with this new life? Will he find love?
