The Second Wizarding War has continued for over three years and it never seems to end. The leaders of the Order as well as the Dark Lord strive to destroy each other, taking out anyone who comes in their way. Hermione no longer feels like the war is about Good and Evil, but a war for power. However, she is not the only one who believes this. The Order and the Death Eaters are invited to a Ministry Halloween Masquerade Ball where they are allowed to disguise themselves under glamour charms for the evening. Both Hermione and Draco are forced to go only to find people that catch their eyes, distracting them from reality of the current war. The events that occur during the party leave them flustered and confused, choosing denial as the easier route to take.
