This story follows the lives of Noah Andersen and Henry Koiwai. Noah has felt rather sorrowful and unhappy, unlike all the other students in their school, leading her to become quiet and shy. Henry feels unwelcomed in their school for his appearance and gets bullied for it, yet still pushes through and manages. When they meet, Henry can't help but feel love and admiration for her. Noah feels the same but succumbs to the sorrow in her empty heart.

Will they one day, confess the way they feel? Or will Noah continue to succumb to her sadness until the upsetting end, and Henry continuing his long life?
