"You should get back on the track, I know you have a lot of things to do, don't waste your time on me.

- Don't worry, the team got ahead today, I'm free till tomorrow."

It was obviously a lie, and Charles was not fooled, but he no longer argued with him.

Max knew that tomorrow he would be awfully busy and that he would have to make up for the time he had spent with Charles instead of studying the turns of the track and his stats.

But how to admit to the man in front of him without looking suspicious that he just wanted to see him and spend as much time as possible with him instead of working ?

                                               ***

Max Verstappen's Redbull collided with Charles Leclerc's Ferrari at the start of the 2024 season. The Monegasque driver came out of the crash with the bones of his wrists and right leg in pieces. Feeling guilty of the accident, Max decides to help Charles during his rehabilitation before his return to Formula One.

The two drivers have been competing against eachother for years without really knowing each other, this new proximity will bring them closer without them realizing immediately what is happening.
