Hey guys! This story is a project I'm writing for school. It's about a girl named Kara who came across a snake who told her that his species, the Cyanis Serpents, is being decimated by humans. Why are humans killing the serpents? well, they are killing snakes for their mythical scales/skin (sounds familiar in the real world?) that are thought to render anyone to feel no pain and even give immortality.
