On September 10th 2004 the Marionettes Project was created

The project consisted of six girls ranging from the age five to eleven for one purpose, to kill

And on February 27th 2011 those six girls became one.

Adriana Romanova-Barnes was the sole survivor of the marionettes, people believed she survived because she was given special treatment for being The Black Widow and The Winter Soldier's daughter, but Adriana would tell you otherwise.

She just had luck, not like the other five marionettes who had been killed for being too weak or too sensitive. They had no luck in their favor.

But surviving left Adriana utterly and completely alone, her family was gone, dead, buried six feet under ground like Adriana wished she was, but every time she tried to die, the poison would always leave a weird taste in her mouth, the water would expel from her lungs, or her snapped neck would mend it self back together. The serum that ran through her veins wouldn't let her die.

Now in late 2015 Adriana was one of the best in the Red Room she had earned her place.

But when she is captured during one of her missions by Maria Hill, she is taken back to the same women that abandoned her, the same women she had wanted to kill since she was four, the same women she had imagined so many different ways to kill,
