*SUICIDE, PTSD & ABUSE AWARNESS* Jacqueline Sloane and Jethro Gibbs have always had a connection. They've always clicked. They viewed the world very similarly and they were just so alike in many ways. Neither had ever admitted it but there was a spark between them. The spark lit the moment that they'd met. They didn't know then that they'd later fall in love with each other. Love wasn't the problem though. The problem was that they didn't know how to tell each other about their feelings. For Gibbs, it was every relationship he'd ever had. Everyone he'd ever gotten close to, had gotten hurt. Gibbs had one fear, he was scared of something happening to the people he cared most about in this world. For Jack, it was the moment that haunted her to this day. Her last relationship was abusive and she was raped, resulting in a baby that she had to put up for adoption, for a better life, when she was only eighteen. Even though it was so long ago, she was scared of this happening again. This relationship haunted her everyday. She had so many nightmares about it. These nightmares resulted in suicidal thoughts and self-harm. Because of this, Jack decides to step away from her job at NCIS. Will Gibbs tell Jack about his feelings before it's too late? What will happen between Jack and Gibbs? What will happen to their Christmas celebrations? And more importantly, will Jack be able to escape her past traumas and PTSD? Find out in this year's Christmas Special "Deck the Halls", coming out on December 14th!

*UNDERGOING EDITING AND SMALL CHANGES RANKED #1 IN #DADSBESTFRIEND TROPE My gaze was fixed on Weston, wanting to look away so he didn't see me but unable to, and so when he whipped his head in my direction, he looked me square in the eyes. I was painfully aware of how I was sitting on Dego's lap, his arm around my waist, mine around his neck. I couldn't move, couldn't breathe, and he didn't either for several time stopping seconds. Then he slowly took a step in my direction, and kept walking until he was standing directly in front of Dego and I. •~•~•~•~•~•~••~~• Two years ago Avery Blackwood's father met and married a demure Sunday school teacher, who, within a matter of months, spent his entire savings and completely wiped out everything he'd done over the years, wrapping up the whole thing by having an affair. Her father divorced the woman, but it was too late to save the families finances, and before they could even begin to get back on their feet, Daniel Blackwood is deployed to the middle east, leaving Avery with her wealthy cousins to try and acclimate to an environment foreign to the one she was raised in. The pressure builds until Avery makes the choice to leave, her destination over halfway across the country; her brothers ranch in southeastern Colorado. The only obstacles-she has fifty dollars to her name and no car, and her controlling aunt standing in the way. Influenced by a childhood of war and action movies, Avery, armed with a bowie knife and determination, simply heads out the back door and doesn't look back. She isn't expecting her envisioned trek across America to end so soon; a chance meeting with a family friend and neighbor who feels responsible for his friends daughter causes her to alter her plans. Within the few days she is with Weston Travers, she falls for him, and falls hard, but falling in love with someone ten years her senior may not have the fairytale ending every girl dreams about. ["Perhaps the cruelest twist of fate yet was that even the family you'd finally made for yourself was still one that you could not keep."] *** Five years and five months. It has been just over five years and five months since the reader and Spencer last saw each other, and now, at last reunited with a daughter just as bright as her parents, both of them are ready to finally start their lives together as a family... But when has the reader's life ever been so simple, and when has fate ever been so forgiving? Neither the reader nor Spencer is the same person they were all those years ago, and after struggling to pick up where they left off, they must determine whether love alone is reason enough to be together. Meanwhile, as the influence of past corruption still runs rampant in the bureau, the reader slowly learns that she might not be as safe as she initially believed. Because this time, she has more than just herself to worry about. Because this time, she has absolutely everything to lose. Because this time, Samuel will stop at nothing to exact his revenge, and he knows exactly what to take in order to finally destroy her.
